The Center for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a distinct institution at the Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg. With its interdisciplinary research in User Experience and Interaction Design, the Center for Human-Computer Interaction ranks nationally and internationally among the leading scientific institutions in the field of HCI. The Center for HCI was founded in 2005 as a research unit at the former ICT&S Center. Currently, around 40 researchers explore the interplay between humans and technologies. Thereby, a special focus is put on the context of Human-Machine Interaction, which results in researching existing, and designing new, interaction technologies and interaction paradigms.
